It's Time For An Update

It has been four weeks since we returned from our Alaskan trip and I have been so busy doing nothing that I have failed to put out any updates. However, I received a wake up call. Two days ago it rained all day and the next morning there was snow at the higher elevations. This is about the normal time for the mountains to the South of Montrose, Colorado. The Aspen are just starting to change too, and before long I'll be able to send out pictures of their brilliant yellow/gold.

Meanwhile, the deer are beginning to come down from the higher ground. They like to come into the RV park and raid the apple trees.

It won't be much longer before the elk will start coming down as well, although they are much too cautious to come into the park while RV'ers are still here. Besides, hunters are still on the prowl.

Hey, out there amongst my readers, are there any with ATV experience? I am about to buy and All Terrain Vehicle for trail riding next summer. I am leaning towards a Can-Am Outlander between 500 and 650 cc. Can-Am's are made by Bombardier Recreational Products of Canada. I am leaning in their direction because they come with twin cylinders, electronic fuel injection, 5% to 15% more horsepower at the same displacement as other brands, and trailing torsion independent suspension (which makes driving a straight line in rough terrain much easier). They also seem to have a more comfortable ride.

Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Helpful would mean that you leave out the comments about being too old, too fragile, too stupid, or questioning my sanity. Those are givens. If you have any thoughts, please email me.

My best to you all, and don't forget "Home is where you park it!".
