The Big Nine Zero

I know my blog posts are always places and things over people, but this is a special occasion. My mother just had her 90th birthday. That is a really good excuse for doing some people pictures, and as it turns out, to show off some of my family.

I made a special trip from here in our winter layover in Texas back to Indianapolis, just so my sisters and I could throw her a party. My apologies to my Indy friends for not visiting, but my time was short and it was a bit hectic.

Also, it is only fair to make apologies to those whose pictures I am posting. The pictures are all candid and I took them in between my duties as a party host. They are not all very flattering as the angles and lighting aren't the best. Of course all the shots of kids are great, they always look good.

Here is the woman of honor, my mother Mary, turned 90 on Monday, 2/4/2008. The young lady to her left is her daughter and my sister, Barbara.

This is Patti, my youngest sister.

This is my son Brian, the balloon bearer.

Brian's wife Lori, mother to a bunch of great grandkids.

The three youngest grandchildren (Kyra 15, Erica 13, and Jade 10) sitting with their grandmother Sandy (my ex-wife).

This is Kayliegh, great grandchild number one and nearly 5.

This is Ashland, great grandchild number two. Sorry Mike and Sarah, parents to Kayliegh and Ashland (Sarah is Lori's oldest), but I didn't get any pictures where Sarah was facing the camera.

The next entry will be back to places and things. We are planning a 4 day jaunt into Mexico beginning February 18th.
